Our new identity reflects the breadth of Vimachem’s modular MES platform and the direction we are taking in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
For pharmaceutical manufacturers, the route to AI runs through the records, workflows and decisions made on the plant floor every day. That thinking shaped both our rebrand and the conversation we hosted at the Vimachem Pharma Digitization & AI Conference in Athens.
Our new identity reflects the breadth of what we do today. A manufacturer might begin by understanding losses on a packaging line, then expand into weighing and dispensing, electronic batch records, eLogbooks or traceability. Our applications can be introduced in stages and connected as a site’s needs grow. That gives teams room to make progress on a specific challenge while building towards a more connected operation.
I wanted the identity to make that approach recognizable. The V grounds the mark in Vimachem. Its flexible form reflects a platform that adapts to the way a site works, rather than asking the site to fit a rigid, monolithic system. The precise geometric forms express the precision of our engineering. Within the mark, the form outlines our AI application, while the repeated elements come together as one connected system, just as our modules do. This represents a platform tailored to each customer’s needs, helping them transform their operations, protect batches, reduce costs and achieve measurable ROI. It is a clearer expression of who we are today and the role we are playing in leading digital transformation across pharma manufacturing.
We brought that thinking into a wider industry conversation on 24 September. At the Conrad Athens, our Pharma Digitization & AI Conference gathered senior manufacturing, quality and digital leaders to examine what it takes to move from digital execution to AI in GMP operations. The event was supported by the ISPE Greece & Cyprus Affiliate, with members from ISPE, ISPE Poland and ISPE Ireland also in attendance.
Watch highlights from the conference:
The manufacturers in the room made clear why flexibility matters. Speakers from IBERFAR, PharmaPath, and more described different starting points for digitization, from manufacturing performance to weighing and dispensing and batch execution. Leaders from VIANEX, Lavipharm, JGL and Fagron explored the data, governance and quality questions behind early AI use cases. WinMedica President Dimitris Tryfon shared a manufacturer’s perspective on building a new facility and the opportunity to embed digital manufacturing from the outset.

The technical sessions tested those ambitions against the demands of regulated manufacturing. Faidra Angelikaki presented preliminary findings from the ISPE Pharma 4.0™ Study. Brandi Stockton discussed the draft EU GMP Annex 22 and the ISPE GAMP Guide: Artificial Intelligence. Frank Henrichmann examined validation and what meaningful human oversight requires: giving a reviewer the evidence and opportunity to catch an error before approving an output.

David Ciullini of NNIT mapped the journey from digitalization to AI delivery under GxP. Accenture’s Wenhui Zhang tackled a different decision: where manufacturers should rely on deterministic workflows and where AI agents may have a role on the shop floor. Their sessions brought implementation and system design into the discussion alongside the regulatory and manufacturer perspectives.

Our product team demonstrated Vimachem’s AI-assisted digitization capabilities and invited manufacturers in the room to challenge them with their own requirements. By turning existing master batch records, changeover instructions and scanned logbooks into structured drafts for specialist review and approval, these capabilities can accelerate the move from paper to digital execution. They reduce the manual effort of transcription and formatting, allowing specialists to focus on the manufacturing steps, parameters and limits that matter. The discussion explored where manufacturers saw the greatest value and what their quality teams would need to review and validate before adoption.

The goal is not more isolated AI pilots. It is AI-enabled GMP operations, built on connected systems, controlled workflows and reliable manufacturing data, with validation and human oversight embedded from the outset.
This is how we lead digital transformation: combining strong engineering with close collaboration with the manufacturers putting it into practice. We bring practical capabilities, guide implementation and validation, and invite customers to challenge our approach. Their experience helps shape the solutions we build and how we deploy them. The new Vimachem identity reflects that leadership, and the way we work with our customers to turn technology into meaningful manufacturing improvements.
The video above captures some of those conversations. We’ll share selected session recordings and a closer look at the digitization capability in the coming weeks. Register to receive the conference resources and tell us which manufacturing workflows you would like us to explore next.
